November wedding day at Hedsor House

Adam & Nancy’s November wedding day.

It was my first wedding booking at this elegant Georgian dream wedding venue for Adam & Nancy’s November wedding day. Hedsor House has been on my venue wish list ever since I began photographing weddings…..

It really is a beautiful setting for romantic weddings. Even on a grey November day, it was charmingly photogenic. So cosy too, the ballroom lit by candlelight made for a perfect setting for a twilight wedding reception.

After Nancy & Adam came across my profile on on Bridebook  we arranged a zoom call & I was thrilled when they decided I was the photographer for them !

Adam & Nancy met at uni in Bath. It was only towards the end of their last year that they realised they liked each other!
Adam proposed on Christmas Eve 7 years later.

The bridal suite was insane & so much fun to get ready in!

Adam & Nancy planned a Winter wedding. So finding a venue that had great photographic locations indoors, as well as outside was a must for their November wedding day at Hedsor House.

As soon as they visited Hedsor House, in their own words; “We were just blown away. The venue was stunning with loads of amazing spots for photos and all of the staff we met there were so friendly and helpful. The venue also offered a package which had everything like cake, dj, flowers included that made the planning so much easier!”

Nancy said yes to the first dress that she tried on at Windsor & Eton Brides in Eton.  Nancy’s experience of working with them, was really special too. Nancy had some lace from her mum’s wedding dress added around the waist of hers. Nancy said that it was a really special way to remember her and have her, with her on the day.
Adam’s suit was from Marc Darcy & all of the men had matching ties and socks so they were subtly co-ordinated.

What was your favourite part of your day & why ?

Its difficult to chose 1! The day went by so quickly and each part of it was special in a different way. One moment that keeps coming back to us both is during the wedding breakfast – we just sat for a moment and looked around the room, taking it all in and watching all of our friends and family. Everybody looked like they were having a great time and it was just so nice to have them all together, seeing that they seemed to be enjoying the day as much as we were.

Finally; If you had any tips or words of wisdom for anyone planning their wedding,

what would they be ?

In terms of planning, don’t sweat the small stuff and make sure you plan the day you both want rather than what anybody else does. Also a venue with a package was amazing!

When it comes to the day, enjoy every second of it. Everyone told us the day goes so quickly which we never really believed but it is so true! We wish we could go back and do it all over again!

Do you have any comments about your wedding photography ?

What was it like working with Emma & Beautifullight Photography ?

We found Emma through Bridebook and had a video call with her to meet her and see her work. After that it was an easy decision to book! We had our pre-wedding photo shoot on a very wet day but Emma made it work and the photos came out great (even our very wet, bedraggled dog came out well!). Working with Emma on our wedding day was fantastic (with another Emma as our 2nd photographer). We had lots of laughs together and they both made us feel very relaxed.

Thanks for reading this post, thanks also to my amazing 2nd photographer for her excellent work on this wedding with me x
