Micro weddings in Berkshire are becoming an increasingly popular way for couples to celebrate in a more relaxed and personal way. Not every wedding needs to be a full-day celebration with 100 guests.

Some of the most meaningful weddings I photograph are smaller, quieter celebrations with a handful of loved ones and a couple who simply want to mark the moment in a way that feels true to them.

Micro weddings, registry ceremonies and elopements have a very different rhythm to a traditional wedding day. They’re often more relaxed, more personal and full of genuine emotions because the focus stays exactly where it should be on the two of you.

Reading Town Hall Weddings.

Reading Town Hall is one of the most popular places for registry weddings in Berkshire, and it’s somewhere I photograph regularly.

The historic building, spacious ceremony room and beautiful light make it a lovely setting for an intimate ceremony.

I’ve photographed couples here who travelled from all over the world to celebrate their marriage in a small but meaningful way including recent weddings where guests came from the Philippines, Brazil and Poland to witness the ceremony.

For couples planning a registry wedding here, my 2-hour micro wedding coverage works perfectly. It usually includes:

Elopements are becoming increasingly popular with couples who want something quiet, meaningful, private & personal.

Sometimes that means:

• Just the two of you.
• A couple of witnesses.
• A short ceremony with personal vows,  followed by portraits somewhere beautiful.

These weddings have a lovely pace to them. Without the pressure of a big schedule, couples can simply enjoy every single moment and each other.

My approach to smaller weddings stays the same as it would for any wedding with natural, relaxed photography that quietly captures the day as it unfolds.

We had a very small wedding, just 20 guests. She captured lots of special moments, and accurately everyone’s expression and character. Each photo had its own story, and was beautifully composed. We are truly thankful to her for sharing our day with us and giving us a collection of photos that will remind us for a lifetime.
